Plenty of indoor games, books, puzzles and quality magazines
Guided quad bike tours to explore the beautiful scenery. Please note that the quad bikes are not ridden anywhere near the lodge and so will not disturb the peace and quiet.

Good walking shoes
Long pants - walks through the bush can scratch your legs
Insect repellent - this is a malaria free zone but we still have mosquitoes
Water bottle to take on walks
Sunscreen
Bird books
Binoculars
Camera
Bathing costume
Swimming towel
Shorts for sports and boating
Tracksuit
Cool, loose fitting clothes are advised during summer
Warm jerseys, tracksuits and jackets are advised for the winter evenings.
Dress for the restaurant is casual holiday wear.

 
 
 
WEATHER
 
Summer months are November to April.
December, January and February can be very hot - up to 30 degrees C during the day.
November, March and April are warm during the day but get cooler in the evenings.
This is a summer rainfall area with most rain falling from November to January.
 
Winter months are May to October.
The winter is generally mild during the day (about 10 - 15 degrees C) but the nights get very cold.
The coldest months are June to August, sometimes reaching -1 degrees C at night.
There is no rain during the winter and snow is unlikely.
